Something about this time of year makes me want to slow down and enjoy my crafting. To pick the softest yarn and smoothest needles. To pour a warm cup of coffee and pick a nice spot to sit and enjoy them all.
Maybe it’s the weather or the fact that the year is starting to wind down but I know I just want to take my time. To press pause for just a minute and appreciate the task. I usually start thinking about making a few gifts for my loved ones and lay aside the hustle of the rest of the year.
I try to remember why I fell in love with making in the first place. Hear the click of the needles. Watch the stitches come to life. No need for writing down what I’m doing for a pattern. No need to make it quickly. Just slowly falling in love with the process all over again.
