It’s scarf month for September so I’m highlighting the scarves that are currently on sale now through September 30th.
Turning Tides is a traditional scarf that is structured yet comforting. The yarn is soft, yet strong with excellent stitch definition. The stitches change directions with each color and create a visually striking pattern with squishy ribbing in between - a safe place to land between changes. Created in dk weight yarn this scarf is timeless, warm, and a special gift for anyone you love, including yourself!Â
No matter which direction life takes us, we will ride the turning tides together.
Supplies Needed:
US Size 5 Needles (straight or 16inch circular)
2 stitch markersÂ
500 yards of dk weight yarn-Â (90 yds navy-Color 1, 186 yds gold-Color 2, 223 yds cream-Color 3)
Three colors make a great contrast. Each color signals a change in the direction of the stitches. Simple twisted stitches that create left-leaning, right-leaning, or vertical ribbed textures.
I would be so honored if you shared this pattern with your knitting groups, yarn shops, and online knitting buddies on social media. Even if you don’t plan on making this pattern for yourself you might just have a friend that is looking for it.
