Every now and then I’ve got to see something new and fill my inspiration tank. Sometimes it’s taking a road trip, watching a new nature documentary, visiting shops or small towns, or sometimes it’s visiting a local community museum that has thousands of beautiful shells. This week we took a drive and visited just such a place.
I am amazed at all the variations of color, design, and size. I love how something as small as a shell for a little animal in the ocean is given such beauty. Geometric shapes and swirls, vivid colors, spikes, smooth surfaces and varying textures just fill my mind with all kinds of ideas about how to translate them
into shawl shapes, color palettes, and designs. What fills your inspiration tank?
