Hand washing is recommended to maintain the life of your piece. Soak in cool water and mild soap. Squeeze gently and roll up in a towel to squeeze again. Lay flat to dry, avoiding too much stretching to keep the squishy feel of the fabric. A light steam after your scarf is fully dry can also help add bounce back to your piece. 
Finished dimensions: Approximately 27 inches from bottom tip to top, and 72 inches long. Garter stitch stretches out as it is worn so the scarf will naturally grow slightly larger.
