Why get a knit kit? What are the benefits?
Knit Kits are pretty new to Industrial Whimsy and I want to take a closer look at why Knit Kits are a great choice for knitters to gift and use for themselves.
Kits come with everything but the kitchen sink! Ok, actually it's everything but the needles. 😅 If you need a certain amount of yardage, you don't have to go hunting around making sure you've got enough for the project. The Kit comes with all the yarn you need! If you need stitch markers or progress keepers they will also be included and can be a fun way to try out new styles and seasonal charms and beads. The pattern is always included and you can access it digitally for printing at home or using on your iPad or smart phone. You can zoom in on pictures, make notes on the screen, check off your repeats as you go, and mark on the pattern where you left off.
Kits take the guesswork out of color choices! Sometimes choosing colors is fun and sometimes it can be a chore. I do my best to offer a variety of color choices with the Knit Kits like bright colors and neutrals. Seeing the yarns together can give you confidence that your project will look nice. I know it can be hard to picture the finished object and choose colors when presented with the entire rainbow of color options. Narrowing down choices helps to make solid decisions quicker and that means getting your project on your needles faster!
Kits are great gifts! If you've got a knitting friend or loved one, a knit kit is a wonderful present for birthdays, holidays, special occasions or "just because". As a knitter, I know that being gifted with yarn, patterns, and stitch markers is the best! Beginner knitters especially love to have their craft supported and encouraged.
